I am an English teacher and I travel throughout Osaka to various locations, which means that I need a reliable app. So far 2 of the stations I need to go to... Don't even exist in this app. This app doesn't even tell you what platforms to go to 75% of the time. Google maps does everything (except tell you when you have to change station) and its 100% free. I would give this app half a star from a travelling worker's point of view.

Works, but not well enough to pay for

This app functions as well as the website, which is a bit more thorough than some other online methods of transportation planning, but not enough to make this service worth paying for, nevermind on a recurring basis.

You have to buy monthly 'coupons' to use this service. Why would you do this when you can use the same basic service for free on the Hyperdia website.

I didn't even reach the end of my 30 day subscription before I found multiple better apps for trains in Japan. The voice system failed numerous times both with English and Japanese pronunciation and voices. Don't bother downloading. It's not worth it

This app is not yet to state it can be "sold". It it charge heavy as well. Just use the website ...!

Terrible interface, not very eye catching. The fact that you need to pay after one month means I just deleted it and will be using the website. Get some decent interface design and it might just be worth it.

I don't understand! Why do you want us to pay for an app when it is free if we have the Internet? Also, it's purely discriminatory that you decide to have English speakers pay more than Japanese speakers. このアプリは有料でもインターネットで見たら無料なのはよく分かりません。そして、日本語と英語のクーポンの価格は絶対違います。変じゃないんですか？差別みたいじゃない？ このクーポンの制度を変更しなかったら、日本人、来国外国人のiOSを使っている方々はジョルダンに変えてしまうよ。ジョルダンだったら、せいぜいアプリが無料だからな。 Unless you change this, resident foreign citizens and Japanese iOS users will stop using your app and switch to Jorudan. at least Jorudan is a free app.

I have this app and Ekitan---all Japanese version----installed on my phone. And I use the Ekitan all Japanese even though I have to ask the person next to me to read kanji. The Ekitan tells me quickly. It accepts the station name spellings that I type in. This one does not. And this one does not understand my Southern USA accent so I cannot use voice. Buy Ekitan! All Japanese! It's cheaper and much better for gaijin!

Thought it was great, until I had to explain to my boss that I was 45 minutes late due to incorrect train stops listed in this app. Never had that problem in the 2 years I used a similar service.
